Danita Kiriazis, Finalist in the QRC/WIMARQ Resources Awards for Women 2024

At Alpha HPA, we take immense pride in our dedicated team, and today, we are thrilled to share the incredible news that our Senior Process Engineer, Danita Kiriazis, has been named a finalist in the prestigious Queensland Resources Council/Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) Resources Awards for Women 2024.

In Danita’s own words, “I love my job here at Alpha HPA because I get to help my team solve challenging problems every day.” This passion and commitment have not gone unnoticed, earning her a spot among just 18 remarkable women announced as finalists in the 2024 awards. The competition spans seven esteemed award categories, with winners set to be revealed at a special awards presentation on International Women’s Day at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Danita is vying for the title of Exceptional Woman in Technological Innovation, a well-deserved acknowledgment of her pivotal role in leading a team of process engineers and laboratory technicians. Under her guidance, Alpha HPA has been able to sustainably produce an expanding product range of ultra-high purity aluminium materials. These materials cater to diverse high-technology industries, including LED lighting, synthetic sapphire, semiconductors, and lithium-ion battery markets.

The Queensland Resources Council’s acting Chief Executive Officer, Judy Bertram, emphasises the importance of workplace diversity, citing research that demonstrates its positive impact on safety, productivity, and overall employee well-being. Alpha HPA is proud to maintain a 45% female representation across our team of professionals and operators. We firmly believe that an inclusive and diverse workforce not only fosters a positive work environment but also strengthens our ability to attract and retain talented individuals.

As we eagerly await the awards ceremony, scheduled for International Women’s Day, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Danita for this well-deserved recognition. Her dedication, leadership, and contributions to technological innovation make her a shining example within our organisation and the broader industry.
